The Future Will Be Better-Believed, very deeply, by just about everyone.  Because, they know things are better from where they were before and there are still things to discover, things to learn, and things to find out.  Or, better yet, a great Warren Ellis quote (from Transmetropolitan) covers a lot of the opinions of many beings around here-

The future is an inherently good thing, and we move into it one winter at a time. Things get better one winter at a time. So if you’re going to celebrate something, then have a drink on this: the world is, generally and on balance, a better place to live this year than it was last year.

For instance: I didn’t have this gun last year.

And, yes, they do have massive snowball guns.  Just because they can.
